General description The McAlpine C10AV is a bottle trap designed for use with washbasins or sinks. It features a 75mm water seal and an adjustable inlet that allows it to be easily fitted to a variety of waste pipe sizes. The trap includes a multifit outlet, making it compatible with a wide range of plumbing systems. Its anti-siphon or "silentrap" function prevents the loss of the water seal and the ingress of foul air, even in the event of negative pressure or vacuum in the drainage system. This is particularly important in buildings with high-rise plumbing systems, as negative pressure can cause water to be sucked out of the trap, allowing unpleasant odours and gases to enter the building.
