Defective heated seat switches are a known issue on some Ford models. The cause is usually a small metal guide inside the switch, which breaks over time and renders the switch unusable. In this case, this repair kit can help you. The reinforced replacement guide is made of CNC-milled stainless steel and not cheap die-casting like the standard. The replacement guide is significantly reinforced and much more robust than the original part. The transfer is really simple: Opening the switch (clamps on the sides). Removing the old, defective guide. Inserting the new, reinforced version. Put the switch back together. Danger! At this point, you are buying the replacement guide for installation in the original switch and not the switch itself. This is only used to clarify the product image.
