Firecracker is a really beautiful plant to have in the garden - the petals are a gorgeous yellow, with fire-red/orange edging, that grow above strong stems of semi-evergreen foliage. They will definitely catch the eye of your garden visitors! Polyanthus likes to be grown in pots first so they have the strength to be transferred outside into the garden, after all risk of frost has passed. It is best to acclimatise them over 7-10 days. They like to be grown in a nice sunny position but will tolerate partial shade too. Dead-head the polyanthus blooms regularly so new flowers can be encouraged.
