Narcissus 'Cornish Trelawney Gold' is a bright and cheerful daffodil from Cornish breeding, producing a reliable display of golden-yellow spring flowers. With its robust, sturdy growth habit, this versatile variety is easy to grow and well suited to a range of garden settings. Plant Narcissus 'Trelawney Gold' in clumps through the front of borders or dotted among rockeries for a bright splash of spring colour. Its compact size also makes it a lovely choice for layered planting in spring containers. Like most daffodils, the flowers make excellent cut flowers for cheerful spring posies. How to Grow Plant Narcissus 'Cornish Trelawney Gold' bulbs in any moist, well-drained soil in full sun or semi shade. Plant the bulbs approximately 10cm (4") deep and 10cm (4") apart. For the best effect, grow them in groups or natural-looking drifts through borders or informal areas of grass. For a natural-looking display, scatter the bulbs across the planting area and plant them where they land. Daffodils can also be grown indoors in containers of bulb fibre. Place containers in a cool, dark and well-ventilated position at a maximum temperature of 10°C (50°F), watering sparingly to keep the compost moist. When the growing shoots reach approximately 10cm (4") tall, move indoor containers to a cool, bright position at around 16°C (60°F). After flowering, allow the foliage to die back naturally before removing it in June or July. This helps feed the bulb for the following year's flowers. If naturalised in grass, avoid mowing the area until the foliage has completely died back. Height: 35cm (14"). Spread: 10cm (4").
