Thompson & Morgan Thompson And Morgan Daffodil Golden King Alfred 16 Bulbs Inc:, Yellow

Narcissus 'Golden King Alfred' is a classic and popular daffodil, producing large golden-yellow trumpet flowers on strong, upright stems. This traditional variety creates a cheerful spring display and is a reliable choice for adding bright colour to the garden. Ideal for planting in bold groups, 'Golden King Alfred' looks particularly impressive in borders or naturalised beneath trees and shrubs. The sturdy stems also make it an excellent choice for cutting, allowing you to enjoy the bright blooms indoors. How to Grow Plant Narcissus 'Golden King Alfred' bulbs in any moist, well-drained soil in full sun or semi shade. Plant the bulbs approximately 10cm (4") deep and 10cm (4") apart. For the best effect, grow them in groups or natural-looking drifts through borders or informal areas of grass. For a natural-looking display, scatter the bulbs across the planting area and plant them where they land. Daffodils can also be grown indoors in containers of bulb fibre. Place containers in a cool, dark and well-ventilated position at a maximum temperature of 10°C (50°F), watering sparingly to keep the compost moist. Once the growing shoots reach approximately 10cm (4") tall, move indoor containers to a cool, bright position at around 16°C (60°F). After flowering, allow the foliage to die back naturally before removing it in June or July. This helps feed the bulbs for the following year's flowers. If naturalised in grass, avoid mowing the area until the foliage has completely died back. Height: 40cm (16"). Spread: 15cm (6").
