Thompson & Morgan Thompson & Morgan Iris Louisiana Ann Chowning 9Cm Potted Plant X 1

Iris louisiana ‘Ann Chowning’ is a striking hardy perennial, perfect for adding colour and structure to the edge of ponds or moisture-loving borders. Its velvety red flowers with contrasting gold accents bloom from May to July, creating a dramatic summer display. Upright foliage adds vertical interest, and the plants are suitable for use as cut flowers, making them a versatile choice for both garden display and bouquets. Growing Instructions Plant in damp, fertile, acid or neutral soil enriched with well-rotted organic matter. Position in full sun or semi-shade. Suitable for boggy borders or shallow pond margins with the crown up to 20cm below water level. Maintain consistently moist soil, watering during dry periods. Divide overcrowded clumps in autumn after flowering. Mulch around the base in spring to retain moisture. Cut back pond-grown plants to just above the water surface in autumn. Handle with care as the plant can irritate skin and eyes and is harmful if eaten. Images shown are for guidance only and show the expected results of plants upon maturity. Different growing conditions might vary results. Image may be included for illustration of supply but can vary due to seasonality changes (e. g. , deciduous plants lose leaves in colder months).
