Thompson & Morgan Thompson And Morgan Daffodil Dick Wilden 32 Bulbs Inc:, Yellow

Narcissus 'Dick Wilden' is a striking double-flowered daffodil producing huge, deeply ruffled blooms in lemon yellow and golden yellow. The fully double centres give the flowers a carnation-like appearance, creating a bold display in the garden from mid to late spring. The sturdy stems make Narcissus 'Dick Wilden' particularly well suited to cutting, while the large flowers look impressive planted in bold groups. Grow these reliable daffodils in borders, beds or containers for a bright spring display. How to Grow Plant Narcissus 'Dick Wilden' bulbs in moist, well-drained soil in full sun or semi shade. Plant the bulbs approximately 10cm (4") deep and 10cm (4") apart. For the best effect, plant them in groups or drifts through borders or informal areas of grass. For a natural-looking display, scatter the bulbs across the planting area and plant them where they land. Daffodils can also be grown indoors in containers of bulb fibre. Place containers in a cool, dark and well-ventilated position at a maximum temperature of 10°C (50°F), watering sparingly to keep the compost moist. Once the growing shoots reach around 10cm (4") tall, move indoor containers to a cool, bright position at approximately 16°C (60°F). After flowering, allow the foliage to die back naturally before removing it in June or July. This helps feed the bulb for the following year's flowers. If naturalised in grass, avoid mowing the area until the foliage has completely died back. Height: 45cm (18"). Spread: 15cm (6").
